Guidelines on Membership and Fee

UKMSW Ltdis an Independent Forum of Professional Social Workers hailing from Kerala, a Southern State of India, who are currentlyworking or living in UK. Membership to this Forum is voluntary.
Whilst on Membership of the Forum, the Applicants are expected to adhere to the Code of Conduct of the Regulatory Body as well as the Rules and Regulations set by the Forum. As an Independent Organisation, the Forum has no responsibility in monitoring the registration status related to the title, professional practiceand conduct of applicants, their suitability for the practice and thus, cannot be held accountable for any of their actions. It is the responsibility of the applicants/ members to update the Chairperson or Secretary of the Forum in writing if their membership status changes.
The forum will offer three types of membership:

Full Membership:
Full Membership is open All those who have completed a Social Work Qualification from a recognised University with current and valid registration with a social work regulatory body in the UK.
Associate Membership:
Associate membership is open to those who completed a social work qualification but currently in the process of registering with a social work regulatory body in UK. Once successfully registered with a regulatory body, an Associate member will attain the status of Full members on notification of the same to the Chairperson or Secretary of the Forum in writing.
Student Membership:
Student membership is open to all those who are currently undertaking Social Work Qualifications in any of the educational institutions in UK, which may entitle them to register as a social worker with an appropriate social work regulatory body in UK.

Membership fee:
1. The Membership fee for all membership categoriesis £10, which should be paid on registration and is non-refundable.

Annual Membership fee
1. The annual fee for a Full member is £25.00
2. The annual fee for Associate member and Full members those who are not practising as a social worker is £15. The fullannual membership fee to be paid when starts practising as a Social Worker.
3. There is no annual membership fee for Student members

General Information to applicants:

The annual membership fee must be paid before 31stMarch every year. The fee to be paid into the Forum's bank account

It is the responsibility of the applicants/ members to update the Chairperson or Secretary of the Forum in writing if their membership status changes.
The Executive committee has the full right to reject or accept the membership applications and a satisfactory explanation to be provided in case of any membership refusals.

I understand that the UKMSW Forum is an independent organisation with no responsibility in monitoring my professional practice or suitability for practice, thus, cannot be held accountable for any of my actions. It will be my responsibility to ensure that I meet the requirements of my registration and I will update the Chairperson or Secretary of the Forum if my membership status changes. I understand that UKMSW forum will report any concerns to practice to appropriate agency as required by law.I hereby authorise UKMSW forum to use my personal information for the administrative purpose of the Forum but will take every step to ensure its protection in line with the requirements of GDPR.
